We would like to know whether MSCS Act 2002 amended as per 97 constitutional Amendment by parliament. If yes from which date it has come into effect. We would also like to know which sections have been amended/ inserted.

Multi-State Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Bill, 2010 is pending in the Lok Sabha since November 15, 2010 On Thursday MAY 9 2013 the Union Cabinet approved moving official amendments to this Bili. The amendments inter alia provide for taking measures by Centre for revival of sick societies. The Amendments bring the pending Bill in conformity with the provisions of the Constitution (97th Amendment) Act, 2011.
If the Central Registrar opines that a multi-State co-operative society has become sick, the Centre or any person authorised by it shall prepare a scheme for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of such sick a society and the society shall place it before its general body for approval.
