Society allows only badminton to be played

Can management committee pass a weird rule that no child will play any game except badminton? How to have a control on such rules?

I C Naik

For games in Society premises I quote below the Bye law No 168 ” The meeting of the General Body of the society may, after taking in to consideration the location of the building or buildings of the society and their surroundings ant their children, allow such games to be played during such hours as may be fixed by the meeting of the General Body of the society and subject to such restrictions, charges and penalties as it may impose.”

The Committee’s duty is specified in Bye law No 137 at item 32 in the table under that Bye law i.e. to suggest to the meeting of the general body the Games to be allowed to be played in the compound of the society.

I suggest you buy a copy of the Bye law (Rs 100 approx) from the Secretary as he is duty bound to provide and point out the exact number as number may vary depending upon your Society’s registered bye-law model.
