Query of Debjit Dutta

I got your contact through a real estate portal. This is with respect to the flat i own in Bengaluru, Karnataka. I had rented it out to 6 bachelors working in MNCs. Now all of them have quit their jobs and formed a company of their own. They have got a few clients in US and they want to work from home henceforth. Because clients are US based, there is no risk of footfalls or more visitors within my premises.

But I wanted to clarify whether this is permissible within residential apartment laws as my flat is for residential purpose only. This is an under construction complex and society hasn’t been formed yet.

One of my neighbours has brought to my notice that computer tables have been set up which is why he feels its for commercial use. Please advise me, as I want to be fair rather driven by whims and fancies.

Try changing User Change in the Building plan and also see if proposed bye Laws could permit such self employed activities by Tenants.
