Our Society is managed by Registrar appointed Administrator. We are from Mumbai and applicable act is Maharashtra Co-operative Society Act 1961 as amended up to date. Our Registration No. is MUM/WR-D/GNL/O/3035/2015-16/2015 DATED 22/12/2015. We intend to know as to the giving Notice of Annul General Meeting is within purview of  Administrator. We confirm that Administrator is authorized to call for Special General Meetings but are doubtful of such authority to Administrator to call for Annual General Meeting (AGM). Pl enlighten us with relevant Bye-saw and Section of the Act.

This is the Constitutional provision in respect of Administrator in Cooperative Societies in India.

Provided further that the board of any such co-operative society shall not be superseded or kept under suspension where there is no Government shareholding or loan or financial assistance or any guarantee by the Government:

The Administer is appointed when the Committee is super ceded but not in self-sufficient unaided Cooperative Societies . So please check the reason for appointing a n Administrator and revert,
