My son and his mother are joint owners of flat in Bangur nagar, goregaon (w) Mumbai 400090. My name is second name to the flat.Since my son has settled abroad, he wants his name to be dropped from society’s share certificate leaving only his mother’s name as the first name leaving second name, which is mine, to be the same. How to get it done?

It looks like that your son and your wife purchased a flat as Joint owners with names in the agreement in that order. You were admitted as Associate with name on the share certificate at No 2. Where does your wife name stand? You seem to imagine that at No 1 position on the Share certificate names of your Son and wife appear. If son’s name is struck off at No 1 your wife’s name will remain. Question is whether it is correct. Or is it that your wife was not admitted to Associate membership by keeping her name out of share certificate and instead your name was mentioned?
