Your society was registered in 1979, is it not far too late to have arisen these basic questions? Any way these answers are all to be found in the registered bye-laws of your society.

The Delhi Act on cooperative societies define bye-laws as:

(c) “bye-laws” means the registered bye-laws for the time being in force and includes registered or deemed amendments of such bye-laws;

Another pertinent definition is as under:

(e) “committee’ means the governing body of a co-operative society by whatever name called, to which the management of the affairs of the co-operative society is entrusted;

Make an application to the Management Committee for providing you copy of your society’s registered bye-laws and you will find most answers therein.
