Query from Mukesh Joshi

Can you help in any possible way in the matter reported many times in the previous emails, earlier by me.

It seems the whole system related to co-operative housing societies in Maharashtra have gone dead.

The few corrupt people in the society know the fact very well, they become the Chairman and Secretary in the societies forever to trouble, harass and fix the common, dignified people in the matters of judicial system.

They know the system very well as to the fact that it doesn’t function, also it can easily be twisted and turned with the help of a good advocates.

I hope the system will work sooner than later in this case.

Your observations about few corrupt members hurrahing honest people in the Society will be accepted by every honest person. Even dishonest persons also may agree, as such persons also do not think they are dishonest. One is comfortable with one’s own dishonest acts and only then he goes for it. So dishonesty is a matter of perception. What is the remedy? Why in cooperatives in every walks of life corruption is resorted to. If the corrupt is not punished the reason is corruption itself. So how to stop it? Since you are disturbed by such behavior and felt like seeking solution some beginning has taken place. One minimum thing you can do it is make sure you do not fall prey to it. If you come across any person doing corruption and you think that person is a good person try to persuade not to engage in corruption and if you succeed it’s a huge success. In your Housing Society two members have a successful record of fighting corruption. These two successful persons can add two each in the gang of honest members. If this change keep on expanding, there will be no stopping.
