I have following query regarding election rule 2014
1. What is the effective date of Election Rule 2014 – is it 12.
2. Sequence of events
a. Our old managing committee terms is 2007 to 2012 including chairman, secretary and treasurer
b. In Sep 2012 they have co-opted new 4 members
c. Old committee has continued till 21st Sep 2014 i.e. additional 2 year. The old 4 members (chairman, secretary and treasurer and 1 ordinary member) have resigned in AGM on 21.09.2014 and 4 new members (other than co-opted in Sep 2012) have been co-opted.
On 21.09.2012
Old 11 members – Less (resignation by chairman, secretary and treasurer and 1 ordinary member) = 7 members + Add 4 new members have been co-opted.= 11 members
Questions
New 4 members co-opted on 21.09.2015 AGM is valid or election is needed.
If election is needed who is responsible for coordinating with election authority
Whether work done by new committee, taken charge from 21.09.2014 till today is valid as they have increase maintenance collected 1 installments for major repair (internal structure, lift replacement and other works) in special meeting in June 2015.
