My boss whom I assist for all his secretarial jobs is having 3 flats, 1 in Mumbai, 1 in New Delhi & 1 in Bengaluru. Now every flat has 2 parking & since he does not use the Mumbai & Bengaluru flat. He wants to rent the car parking to either a corporate company or any individual.

But since he prefers to follow the law of the land & wishes to know that are there any restrictions if he rents his car parking space? Are there any restrictions in any society bye laws that a flat holder is allowed to park only his cars?

Request if you can help us in this matter.

I C Naik

Bye Laws are silent on renting car parking. It is meant to be used for parking cars and parking purchased from Builder {leaving aside illegality about it) is transferable but impliedly to another member who has access to common areas of the Society. It can impliedly  rented out in a similar way to any other member. If any non-member is given it on Rent the Committee can deny entry to such person.
