As per Section 24(2) of MCS Act 1960 Associate member can enjoy the rights of main member to the extent the registered  bye laws of the society confer. So look in to your bye laws to find out if Associate member (with share in property or otherwise) can vote/contest election.

For your information Bye Laws as per Model 1984,2001,2009 and 2014 has a restrictive bye law which provides for just one right to Associate member (with share in property or otherwise) to attend general body meeting in the absence of the original member and cast his vote. No other right is conferred on Associate Members.
