I am a retired military officer and I have just started horticulture on some parental land (12 acres) in UP, Chitrakoot District (near Allahabad). I have recently sunk my own bore well and am growing hybrid chillies, peas and potato on a 1 hectare plot. The rest is still under wheat and traditional crops.
I am getting a very poor price in the local market and mandis. Can you tell me how to get in touch with some fresh vegetable retail chains etc. so that I can get better price for my produce? Many others in the village are willing to experiment with vegetables but all lack marketing knowledge.
