I reside @ Krishna galaxy co operative housing society at Vakola Santacruz with my grandfather and elder aunt. We bought a flat in 2010 in A wing no 102 in three of our names from the previous owner. After completing required formalities and paying the Rs. 25000 and other transfer fees we requested the share certificate be transferred in our names but the president demanded a bribe of Rs. 1 lakh which we refused to pay, after which he did not transfer the share certificate in our names.
We approached the deputy registrar SRA @ Bandra who passed around 7 orders in our favour. Recently the committee decided to issue us the certificate but there is a twist. They are issuing us a new certificate serial no. 109 instead of transferring the original serial no. 62. They say that 109 is a duplicate issued in place of 62 but are not willing to give that so in writing. My CA and lawyer have asked us not to accept such certificate.
