Hard copy Vs soft copy of notice

After searching for hours I find your website is very helpful and show depth of knowledge and support across various issue and queries related to India Co-operative Housing Society.

I have a flat which in Mumbai where my parents are living and I’m out of India for some time now. Now society is passing our circular notice for reconstruction/repair.

So I have asked to the coperative committee member that I need a soft-copy of notice which was declined by committee member stating that due to legal concern they cannot share same notice with me. But I’m not sure that true as I’m owner of given flat.

Either side there is no law. For society what can be given as a hard copy soft copy thereof is not an objectionable or risky or unlawful. Your demand is also reasonable as it may be cheaper to communicate by email. But legally there is no obligation for Society to comply with your request. So try to persuade or make an arrangement with local agent to scan and mail it to you.
