Please guide me if I can also become associate member in Maharastra CHS ltd and have rights to be elected in the managing committee of the society. My son and wife are the members as per the agreement.

The “Associate Member” has been the most favourite of participants on www.indiancooperative.com
There are various posts so please go through them.
One latest position is New State Cooperative Election Rules prohibits Associate members nominating themselves for contesting elections. The only right Associate has is to attend General Meeting where original member or another Co-Associate member is absent.
