Bye-laws tell how to be Assc. Member

Rajesh Gosavi

I’m staying in Mumbai-Goregaon-MHADA Colony since 1960. I want to be an Associate Member in Colony Society. As of now my mother (Age 72) is having the Ownership of Flat and want to joined me as  associate member with her;  as she can’t attend all the meetings & can’t give decisions / vote every time. If we do the share transfer in my name with my monther’s consents and filled-up the required forms then will society accept my request  and will they allow me to become a ‘Associate Member’?  If yes, then can I also eligible for becoming Committee Member and participate in elections? Can I hold any post in Committed ?

Very soon we are transferring the ownership of flat to my name and the required procedure is started but it will take time. Meantime, I want use ‘Associate Member’ facilities subject to Bylaws of Co-Op. Society.
