Apply to the Registrar of the concerned State for providing copies of Model Bye Laws of the Cooperatives you intend to have. You will have to pay the price as fixed by the Registrar.

    Dear Sir

Maharashtra State Co-operative Act 1960 for Housings Societies is exclusive for Maharashtra state only where as this Same Act No. 1960 is being used for registration of Housing Societies in Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka too ? Several housing Apartment owners Associations and housing Societies are Registered by State Government of Karnataka. I hope there is something wrong. If so please advise as to what the concerned Apartment Owners Association or Housing Societies should do for any corrective actions. Also I read in the internet Each State have different ACT Nos.and for Karnataka it is ACT No. 1959.

Registrar of Karnataka is not bound to register a Society under Maharastra Act as neither Act empowers him to do it. So there seems to be some confusion in the information. Similarly Apartment Act is also different State wise. Even if by mistake ( A mircale) any apartment is wrongly registered by the State how does that concern the Apartment Owners? If at all reregister under the correctlaw.
