This is regarding the implementation of the new amended by laws. As per old bye laws our society has the strength of the 7 members in the MC. Now the new bye law says that we can have 11 members in the MC.
How do we add the balance 4 members in the MC. Can it be done by co-opting? But as per old bye laws only 2 members can be co-opted and the new bye laws has not amended this limit. Our MC is just 8 months old.

The increased strength of Managing Committee will apply once the New bye Laws are adopted in General Meeting and registered by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Now the responsibility to hold elections in all cooperative societies is vested in the State Cooperative Election Commission being set up hopefully by 31 12 2013, no elections or co-options can be done till such time. Maintain the Status quo.
