The office of the Cooperative Ombudsman, Ministry of Cooperation has issued a notification inviting applications for the engagement of retired officers, with a special focus on those from State Cooperative Banks as well as Central/State Government, as consultants on a contractual basis.
The circular highlights openings for Deputy Registrar (1 post, Pay Level-11), Assistant Registrar (2 posts, Pay Level-10), and Assistant Section Officer (1 post, Pay Level-7). Retirees from State Cooperative Banks, along with those from Central and State Government services, are eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to applicants possessing knowledge of the cooperative structure, laws governing multi-state cooperative societies, and experience in cooperative sector management. Candidates are also expected to be proficient in computer applications, including e-office and MS Office.
The consultants will handle complaints and issues related to multi-state cooperative societies and assist in day-to-day functioning. The engagement will be initially for one year, extendable up to three years, with remuneration fixed on the basis of last basic pay minus pension.
