Addressing the International Dairy Federation World Dairy Summit 2022 on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh would double down on commitment to strengthen its cooperative and dairy sectors.
The chief minister said the cooperative and dairy sectors could play an important role in creating jobs. Yogi mentioned the Balinee Milk Producer Company being run by the women self-help groups since 2019 in Bundelkhand district with the cooperation of the central government.
Later NDDB Chairman Meenesh Shah assured that NDDB through its arm NDDB Dairy Services will facilitate milk production on the request of Uttar Pradesh Government adding that the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji had once again raised the subject during the IDF World Dairy Summit 2022.
The Chief Minister had said that not only the state would have 5 more MPCs (taking the total number to 10) but also, he is seeking support of NDDB in proper management and running of the 9 upcoming milk processing plants that he intends to make operational in a year or two.
