In a bid to give relief to the sugarcane farmers, the Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath released an amount of Rs 500 crore for payment of cane price arrears of farmers, according to media reports.
The amount received in the form of a loan will go directly to the account of the farmers.
Commenting on this, Sugarcane Minister Laxmi Narayan Choudhary informed that this loan has been sanctioned for the payment of outstanding sugarcane price for the crushing season 2021-22 against the amount provided under the budget of the current financial year 2022-23.
