NAFED, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Department of Child Development and Women Welfare, has launched the second phase of a special programme aimed at improving nutrition, health and empowerment among women and children in the state.
Inaugurating the event, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appreciated the efforts by Nafed and Department of Child Development and Women Welfare for their Nutrition Initiative.
The initiative is designed to support the objectives of the Poshan Abhiyan by promoting better nutritional awareness and access to health-related services. Through coordinated efforts, the programme seeks to strengthen the well-being of women and children while encouraging community participation in nutrition and welfare activities.
NAFED described the programme as an important step towards enhancing maternal and child health outcomes and advancing women’s empowerment. The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to the state’s ongoing efforts to build healthier and more resilient communities.
