Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed the functioning of the Cooperative Department and directed the launch of a new initiative, ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana’, aimed at enhancing the income and economic empowerment of small and marginal farmers in the state.

The meeting was held on Monday at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Lucknow.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of involving both NABARD and cooperative banks to ensure active participation in the scheme. He further stressed the need to provide affordable and easily accessible credit to farmers as a means to free them from the burden of debt, boost agricultural productivity, and promote self-reliance.

“The Uttar Pradesh government is continuously striving to liberate farmers from debt, improve productivity, and make them self-reliant. This new scheme will prove to be a significant step in that direction,” CM Yogi said.
