International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across all 102 branches of Maharashtra based Shivkrupa Cooperative Credit Society. On this occasion, special programmes were organised for women at the society’s administrative office as well as at all its branches.
During the programmes, women participants were felicitated and honoured. They were also provided information on financial empowerment, with emphasis on the importance of savings, investment and self-reliance.
The initiative received an overwhelming response from women. Around 10,000 women participated in the celebrations across the society’s 102 branches, adding to the significance of the event. A vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere was witnessed at all the branches.
On the occasion, office-bearers of the credit society stated that similar initiatives aimed at promoting women’s progress and financial empowerment would continue to be organised in the future. The participating women also appreciated the programme and expressed satisfaction with the initiatives undertaken by the society.
