Police say a 25-year-old woman working in a cooperative society in Vemagal in Kolar Taluk in Karnataka was allegedly raped by a young man, reports Hindu.
According to the complaint filed by the unmarried woman, a youth Krishna alias Krishnappa using force outraged her modesty.
The accused allegedly approached her on the pretext of getting a loan.
The accused is also reported to have made away with Rs. 3.5 lakh from the society. The accused Krishna is hiding in Andhra Pradesh, police say.
