The meeting of the senior Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav with BJP president Amit Shah in Delhi on Friday has fuelled media speculations. Yadav has however, refused to speak to the media about the meeting.
Media sources said Shivpal had been camping in Delhi since Tuesday to meet Shah.
Earlier on April 5, Shivpal Yadav had met Chief Minister Aditya Nath Yogi along with his son Aditya Yadav.
The meeting has triggered two kinds of speculations-one that he was attempting to join the BJP after being marginalised in the Samajwadi Party by his nephew Akhilesh Yadav. And second one is his attempt to secure future of his family in the state co-op bodies.
Readers would recall his son Aditya Yadav is Chairman of PCF while his wife is Chairman of District Central Cooperative Bank.
