Jalgaon Janata Sahakari Bank came for special praise by Army personnel who thanked the women employees and the women members of self-help groups associated with Maharashtra based Jalgaon Janata Sahakari Bank for caring for them.
Besides other things these women had sent Rakhi to the army brothers which moved them no end.
The UCB is also running a scheme for the soldiers. This scheme is known as “VeerShree” the scheme under which the bank is providing loan for soldiers buying homes and vehicles at the lower rate of interest.
The PRO Girish Takane of the UCB shared photographs of the army personnel tying Rakhis on their wrists. Takane wrote “On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the women members of bank had sent Rakhis for the brave soldiers of our country”.
Jalgaon Janata Sahakari Bank is also involved in transforming the lives of more than 80 per cent of women folk in the district. Presently, the bank is running about 3500 self-help groups that have more than 60,000 active women members.
