Times of India reports West Bengal has outwitted Modi’s Gujarat in producing quality milk in the country. Nabard has selected its model- Sundarini Naturals as the best cooperative Model.
The state through the cooperative initiative – Sundarini Naturals produces cow milk, ghee and honey from the jungles of Sunderbans. The money earned is deposited in the bank accounts of the women who work in this cooperative. Nearly 3,000 women have been able to overcome their poverty.
On the occasion of World Milk Day, Sundarni Naturals won the excellence award for its various achievements.
