Wani bags Sahakar Ratna & Naval gets Bandhu Award

The 52nd AGM of co-op titan IFFCO also saw the bestowing of co-op awards on two corporators who have led their lives upholding co-op ideals.

The IFFCO Sahakarita Ratna Award was given to Haji Ali Mohammad Wani and the Sahakarita Bandhu Award was bestowed on Naval Kishore Singh.

Wamni is a co-operator from Jammu & Kashmir and was awarded for strengthening the cooperative movement at the primary level in Jammu. Singh hails from Bihar and was honored for strengthening the cooperatives at the primary level in Bihar.

Recipient of the Sahakarita Bandhu Award, Naval Kishore Singh referred to the IFFCO MD and said Awasthi has made us walk with confidence in life. “I have been with the co-operative since the time when people would look sideways if you introduce yourself but now the scene has changed”, he said.

Besides, Wani also praised the efforts of Awasthi and the board in taking the IFFCO to newer heights. In his address Awasthi also made a special mention of Wani and said, “He is doing a great job as far as the nano range of IFFCO is concerned. Wani is travelling to distant places in Kashmir through the cycle to spread information about the Nano Urea and DAP among the farmers”.

The two awards carry a citation and an amount of Rs 11 lac cash each.
