Purabi Dairy, under the West Assam Milk Producers’ Co-operative Union Ltd. (WAMUL), celebrated a 28% surge in the 2023-24 fiscal, surpassing Rs 262 crore in turnover, media reports say.
The sale of milk alone contributed Rs 200 crore, marking a 20% increase from the previous year and solidifying WAMUL’s status as the leading dairy cooperative in the northeast.
Notably, sales of milk products like curd, ghee, and paneer soared by an impressive 35%. Managing Director Satya Brata Bose attributed this success to their dedication to supporting farmers and sustainable practices.
