The Government of India has appointed Vinay Sheel Gautam, an Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer of the 2009 batch, as Director in the Ministry of Cooperation under the Central Staffing Scheme.
The appointment will be for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
According to the Office Memorandum, the Department of Revenue has recommended his name for Central deputation, and he has been directed to be relieved of his current duties immediately to take up his new assignment in New Delhi.
The memorandum further notes that, as per the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) directions issued through the Department of Personnel and Training’s Circular No. 3/4/2004-EO(MM-I) dated 17 August 2005, officers are required to join their new posts within three weeks from the date of the appointment order.
