Social media sites over the last few days have been calling on milk consumers across the country not to use Surat district cooperative milk producers’ union ltd (Sumul) and other co-operative milk products as these milk cooperatives have not lowered milk prices despite the govt slashing diesel prices.
The argument that has gone viral in the virtual world is the cooperatives keep hiking milk prices at the drop of a hat but now when they are supposed to reduce milk prices they are unabashedly stalling over the matter.
Sources close to the cooperatives are quoted claiming their rivals are at work orchestrating the campaign to promote their own narrow business interests.
