The top BJP leadership has fielded Surat People’s Cooperative Bank former Chairman Mukesh Dalal for contesting the Lok Sabha election from Gujarat’s Surat constituency.
He has replaced three times MP and Union minister of State for Railways and Textile Darshana Jardosh.
Dalal was the Chairman of Surat Municipal Corporation and is one of the formidable cooperators.
As soon as the BJP list of candidates was made public, followers of Mukesh Dalal lost no time in congratulating him through social media.
It bears recalling that in the election of Surat People’s Cooperative Bank held last year, the opposition panel led by Mukesh Dalal lost by huge margins, but cooperative politics is different from state politics.
