The cooperator from Gujarat Dilip Bhakt passed away due to the coronavirus and the news has stunned the cooperative circles in the state.
He breathed his last on Friday last week. He was admitted to one of the hospitals of Surat. Bhakt was the former Chairman Surat District Cooperative Bank and former Director of Gujarat State Cooperative Union. He also worked with several other co-ops in Gujarat.
Condolences poured in from all quarters on social media.
“His death is an irreparable loss to the cooperative movement. I pray to god for the peace of the departed soul and the strength of the family to bear this profound sorrow”, said a cooperator from Gujarat in his condolence message.
