During his recent visit to Jammu, Union Minister of State for Cooperation BL Verma took stock of the functioning of the Cooperative Department.
The minister said ”our government is committed to promoting the cooperative sector in Jammu and Kashmir. Many steps have already been taken to strengthen the cooperative movement of the state” he said.
On this occasion, Secretary, Department of Cooperation Yasha Mudgal apprised the Union Minister of State of various activities and achievements of the department.
She informed that the modernization of the supermarket in Jammu and Kashmir has been started. Four new supermarkets have been sanctioned for Udhampur, Kathua, Ganderbal, and Kupwara districts.
