On the auspicious occasion of Kartiki Ekadashi, Ahmednagar-based Venkatesh Multistate, under the banner of the Venkatesh Foundation, organized a massive ‘Gangamata Swachhata Abhiyan’ (Cleanliness Drive) at Paithan, the sacred land of Sant Bhanudas and Sant Eknath.
The initiative aimed to preserve the purity of the Godavari River and to make its banks pollution-free, reflecting the organization’s strong sense of social commitment.
The campaign was conducted under the divine inspiration of H.B.P. Ram Maharaj Zinjurke, who has been leading this noble initiative for the 32nd consecutive year.
Over 50 officers and employees actively participated in the drive, including Krishna Masure, Chairman of Venkatesh Multistate; Santosh Kakde, Tehsildar of Chikhli, Buldhana district; Babasaheb Sonawane; and Ashok Gunjal.
A large quantity of floral offerings (Nirmalya), plastic waste, and discarded clothes collected from the riverbank was handed over to the Municipal Solid Waste Management Department for proper disposal.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Krishna Masure emphasized the importance of environmental responsibility, saying, “While preserving our faith, it is our duty to protect the environment and keep our rivers clean.”
