In a significant step towards advancing cooperative education and empowering youth leadership, VAMNICOM organized a national-level webinar titled “Knowledge to Action – Prospects, Growth, and Opportunities in the Cooperative Sector” on Wednesday.

The event drew an overwhelming response, with over 800 participants from academia, government institutions, and the cooperative sector.

The webinar provided a dynamic platform to deliberate on the emerging trends and opportunities in cooperative education. A key highlight of the session was an insightful discussion on the vision and roadmap for Tribhuvan Sahkari University, India’s first proposed university dedicated solely to the cooperative sector.

Eminent personalities who graced the panel included Siddharth Jain, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation; Ms. Minu Shukla Pathak, IRS, Secretary, NCCT; Dr. Suva Kanta Mohanty, Director, VAMNICOM; Dr. Umakant Dash, Director, IRMA; Dr. D. Ravi, Faculty, VAMNICOM; and Dr. Saswata Biswas, Faculty, IRMA.

Key discussions revolved around strengthening cooperative governance, introducing curriculum innovations, increasing youth engagement, and building strategic alliances between cooperative institutions.

The webinar concluded with a note of gratitude to all participants and stakeholders who contributed to this thought-provoking and forward-looking dialogue.
