Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management has carried out over 220 research and consultancy activities in the last three years, Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah informed Parliament.
In a written reply, the Minister said the Pune-based institute, apart from its core mandate of education and training in the cooperative sector, is actively engaged in research and consultancy work.
According to the data shared, VAMNICOM undertook 83 activities in 2022–23, including 72 research papers and 11 consultancy projects. In 2023–24, the institute completed 67 activities, comprising 65 research papers and two consultancy assignments.
For 2024–25, the institute reported 73 research activities, with no consultancy projects during the year.
The Minister highlighted that these initiatives contribute to strengthening the cooperative sector through knowledge creation, policy inputs and capacity building.
