VAMNICOM training to Defence Personnel concludes

A two-month residential training programme on “Innovations and Agribusiness Management” concluded on July 18, 2025, at VAMNICOM and CICTAB in Pune.

Designed for retiring Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and Other Ranks (ORs) of the Indian Armed Forces, the course was conducted under the aegis of the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence.

A total of 39 personnel, 24 from the Army, 7 from the Navy, and 8 from the Air Force, were trained in agribusiness, entrepreneurship, and cooperative management to support their transition to post-service livelihoods.

The programme included expert-led sessions on agritech, food processing, digital marketing, and cooperative enterprises, alongside field visits to farmer organizations and agri-startups in Maharashtra.

Brigadier Ranjan Keron addressed the valedictory session, urging participants to lead rural transformation through innovation and cooperative ventures.
