Over 700 students participated in a one-day Youth Awareness Programme on Cooperative Education and Training organized by VAMNICOM, Pune, in collaboration with Agricultural Development Trust (ADT), Baramati.

The event, held at Manthan Hall of Dr. Sharadchandra Pawar College of Agriculture and Allied Sciences, marked the Foundation Day of the Ministry of Cooperation.

Students from affiliated institutions, including Shardabai Pawar Institute of Nursing and Arts, Commerce and Science College, engaged in sessions aimed at promoting cooperative values, entrepreneurship, and career opportunities in the sector.

Prof. Shantanu Ghosh, Registrar, VAMNICOM, highlighted the Ministry’s role in inclusive growth. Other faculty members including Dr. S. Dharmaraj, Dr. Deepak Waghmode, and Dr. Mahesh Kadam shared insights on policy initiatives, youth participation, and emerging opportunities within cooperatives.

Dr. Rushikesh Kalamkar coordinated the event, which ended with an interactive session and positive student feedback. The programme successfully inspired youth to consider cooperatives as a viable model for development and self-reliance.
