During fiscal 2023-24, 30 cooperative societies in Gujarat were engaged in spreading awareness about new Ministry of Cooperation initiatives, according to a VAMNICOM report on ‘UpScaling the Cooperatives in India’.
VAMNICOM, Pune, spearheaded a nationwide outreach program aligned with the ministry’s efforts, involving diverse cooperative stakeholders and societal segments, including women and weaker sections.
Across 15 states, various awareness initiatives trained 10,583 participants, with 60% men and 40% women. In Gujarat, 1,646 individuals from 30 cooperative societies, primarily in Dairy and PACS sectors, benefited from the awareness programs.
