Vamnicom organized the Valedictory of 65th All India Cooperative Week Celebration with B. Pradhan, Additional secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India as the Chief Guest. Prof. Tapkir was the Guest of Honour.
The program of valediction function started with Saraswati vandana. This year the theme of Cooperative week is “Inclusive Growth and Good Governance through Cooperatives for Rural Perspectives”.
The programme began with Director Dr K K Tripathy giving a welcome address followed by the briefing of the co-operative week celebrations.
Prizes were distributed by the chief guest to students who won in essay, poster, slogan and extempore competition.
Prof. Tapkir delivered a speech on co-operatives. In his speech B. Pradhan focused on role of cooperatives in the development of rural economy.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks given by Shri S.Y. Deshpande, Registrar, Vamnicom. The function was closed with national anthem.
