Pune’s prestigious cooperative institution- Vamnicom conducted a one-day training programme focused on transforming Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) through the Common Services Centers (CSC) portals and the operation of Jan Aushadi Kendras.
Over 50 Secretaries from the on boarded PACS in Pune District participated in this programme.
It bears recalling that an MoU was signed on 02.02.2023 between the Ministry of Cooperation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, NABARD and CSC eGovernance Services India Limited for providing CSC services through PACS.
It is gathered that 34,281 PACS have started providing services as CSCs and transactions worth more than Rs 12 crore have been done through these PACS.
More than 500 PACS have transitioned to operate as Jan Aushadhi Kendras since January.
