Vaish Co-op Adarsh Bank readies for elections

The election process of Delhi based Vaish Cooperative Adarsh Bank is underway and the final list of candidates after withdrawal was made public last week. The polling will be held on 18th March at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Lancer Road, Delhi.

As per the list, four candidates will contest the election for the post of Chairman whereas three candidates are in the fray for the post of Vice-Chairman.

Arun Kumar Jain and Kiran Kumar Tyagi have filed their nomination papers for the post of Chairman to oppose Mukesh Kumar Jain, who is seeking re-election.

It bears recall that the filling of nomination papers was held on 6th March and scrutiny of nominations held on 7th March. And withdrawal of nominations took place on 8th March.

T.Tarun Kumar has been appointed as the returning officer to oversee the election process of the bank.

According to the list, six women are in the race for two posts of women directors on the board and there are 23 candidates in field for eight directors.

The term of board is for three years. The Board consists of one Chairman, one Vice-Chairman two Women directors and eight directors.

The bank has 11 branches in the Delhi Capital Region
