Uttarakhand: Tamta questions need for exam centres outside state
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Rajya Sabha member of Congress Pradeep Tamta from Uttarakhand has questioned the Uttarakhand govt decision to recruit officials for co-op banks by holding examinations outside the state.

The decision of having the examination centres outside the state for recruitment in cooperative banks of Uttarakhand amounts to making fun of youths of the poor state, said Tamata.

“It also raises question on the intension of the govt and a doubt is lingering if the recruitment process would remain transparent”, Tamata charged.

Tamata said aspirants from remote areas including Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar are facing untold miseries as they have to travel to different cities such as Delhi, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Bareilly and Meerut for appear for the exam.

Pradeep Tamta said, when the centers for recruiting the staffs in Nationalized Bank could be done so successfully inside the state, what is the compulsion of the BJP government to have examination centers elsewhere, he asked.

“Government should change his decision”, he demanded.

Readers would recall that government has made examination centers outside the state for recruiting staffs in Cooperative Banks of Uttarakhand. The vacancies are for DGM, Senior Branch Manager, Junior Branch Manager, Cashier and others.

Over 57,000 applicants of co-operative banks, might have to go out of Uttarakhand for giving the online test.
