Uttarakhand State Co-op Bank workshop on Sarfaesi Act

Uttarakhand State Cooperative Bank on Thursday organized a training workshop on the provisions of Sarfaesi Act 2002. The workshop was attended by the Deputy General Managers of 10 District Central Cooperative Banks of state.

Deepak Kumar, Managing Director, Uttarakhand State Cooperative Bank informed the participants that state cooperative bank is recovering the dues under the provisions of Sarfaesi Act 2002. The bank has recovered Rs 20 crore so far and the property worth of Rs 25 crore has to be auctioned, Kumar stated.

Kumar emphasized on taking action against the borrowers under the Sarfaesi Act. Speaking on the occasion Advocate Vivek Agarwal cautioned the participants not to initiate action under Sarfaesi Act without declaring the borrowers account as NPA.

Surendra Prabhakar, Ramvilas Singh, TC Pant, Diksha Kandwal, Harish Tiwari, Aarti Rawat were present, among others.
