In the wake of the revelation of financial irregularities in Kashipur branch of Uttarakhand State Cooperative Bank, Deepak Kumar MD of the bank suspended Devendra Singh Danu with immediate effect.
The investigation of the entire case has been handed over to AGM Surya Prakash. Danu has been accused of embezzling nearly Rs 3.50 lakh. The amount has been withdrawn from three different accounts. The accused had stolen IDs and passwords of bank associates.
The entire scam was carried out by the accused employee in the month of July but the bank got the information about it only on 4th October. The bank MD immediately suspended the erring employee.
