In a major step towards digitizing cooperative governance, Uttarakhand Cooperation Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat launched the Registrar of Cooperative Societies’ (RCS) online portal, bringing key cooperative services under a unified digital platform.
The portal will facilitate online registration of cooperative societies, document uploads, audit management, grievance redressal, nomination verification, membership services, MIS reporting, and annual filings, aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and ease of access for stakeholders.
Addressing a function in Dehradun, Dr. Rawat said integrating technology with the cooperative sector is a priority of the state government and will help deliver faster and more citizen-centric services.
The minister also handed over appointment letters to 45 newly recruited Assistant Cooperative Inspectors and urged them to strengthen the cooperative movement at the grassroots level.
He called on the officers to develop at least one model multipurpose cooperative society in every block and support the government’s vision of establishing a “Cooperative Village” in each block.
Dr. Rawat further announced that 100 loan fairs would soon be organized across Uttarakhand to provide credit support to farmers, youth, cultivators, and self-help groups.
