In a major step toward digital empowerment in the cooperative sector, Uttarakhand DIPR announced through an official tweet that all 671 cooperative societies across the state have now been fully computerised under the Sahakar Se Samriddhi initiative.
According to the update, 24 cooperative societies are currently operating as Jan Aushadhi Kendras, ensuring affordable medicines reach rural and semi-rural areas.
Additionally, 640 societies have been developed as Common Service Centres (CSC), offering citizens a wide range of essential digital and government services at the village level.
The comprehensive digitisation of cooperative societies is expected to enhance transparency, improve service delivery, and make operations more efficient. Officials noted that the initiative will significantly benefit farmers, women, and self-help groups by increasing accessibility to financial, healthcare, and public service facilities.
