Employees of the Uttar Pradesh Sahkari Gram Vikas Bank will observe ‘Black Day’ on May 13, following years of unresolved issues concerning salaries, bonuses, and arrears.
Despite the bank earning profits worth crores over the years, employees allege that their demands such as the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, payment of pending DA arrears, and the timely disbursement of regular monthly salaries, remain unfulfilled.
While the bank has made significant financial gains, employees claim that their rightful dues have not been paid. Instead of performance-based bonuses, the bank has offered minimal incentives, and even regular salaries are not being disbursed on time.
Employees across the bank’s 323 branches in Uttar Pradesh will wear black armbands on May 13. The protest will also include black flag demonstrations at the head office in Lucknow and other locations.
