The Uttar Pradesh Regional Office of NABARD organized a workshop on Tuesday, for statutory auditors of cooperative banks. The event witnessed participation from around 125 attendees through both online and offline modes.
The workshop was attended by the CGM of NABARD, Registrar of Cooperatives Dr. Heera Lal, Additional MD and GM (Inspection Department) of UPCB, officials from the RBI, 49 statutory auditors, 50 DGM/SOs (A/C) from DCCBs, and 25 supervisory officers from NABARD’s UP Regional Office.
The primary objective of the workshop was to make the audit process of cooperative banks more transparent and effective. It also marks a significant step towards the complete digitization of all cooperative banks by March 2025.
